Owl Motors is an independent family run service, repair and recovery business based in Portsmouth. You can’t miss our vehicles with their distinctive bright green livery.

We are RAC and Good Garage approved, as well as being members of AVRO (Association of Vehicle Operations) and hold certificates for PAS43 and ISO 9001, quality standards for the recovery industry. We also hold Sector 17/17b for Quality Management.

MOT's

Owl Motors is Good Garage approved, so you can rest assured that our MOTs are honestly undertaken and good value. MOTs are £48.95 unless booked with any of the three levels of service, then the price is reduced to £35. VAT is not payable on MOTs and retests are free.

Servicing

The most common cause of breakdowns is poor maintenance, so take advantage of our great value Servicing. We offer three levels of Service;

Oil and filter change ~ £60
Engine service ~ £100
Full service ~ £150

Repairs

Owl Motors have a 10 vehicle capacity workshop and our experienced engineers have worked on almost every make and model of vehicle.

All our repairs have a year’s guarantee, unless stated. We use OE parts wherever possible, unless otherwise directed by the customer. We also manufacture our own parts if they have become obsolete.

Breakdown recovery

Our 24 national recovery service is suitable for cars and light commercial vehicles and will recover you and your vehicle to a garage or home address.

Full system analysis

Owl Motors use state of the art diagnostic equipment from Snap-On, Launch and Delphi, ensuring whatever the make and model of your vehicle, we can find the problem and fix it.

Welding

All types of welding can be undertaken, a quote will be given on viewing the vehicle. At Owl Motors we fabricate the majority of the panels fitted reducing the cost to you.

Tyres

Owl Motors stock a wide range of new tyres to suit most budgets. With our new tyre machine and balancer, you’ll avoid steering vibrations that come with incorrectly balanced tyres and poor tracking.

Diagnostics

Our leading edge diagnostic systems enable our engineers to swiftly diagnose faults, reducing vehicle down-time and getting you back on the road more quickly.

Electrics

From lights not working, fitting leisure batteries through to more complex faults. All electrical work is undertaken by our experienced engineers who will troubleshoot and fix it in no time at all. Call us now.

Light Commercial

We recover, repair, service, and MOT light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. We aim to complete work on your vehicle within a day, reducing your downtime and associated costs.

Car won’t start at home, not covered by your breakdown service? Homestart will change a battery or if recovery is needed it is on average approx £35 plus VAT to recover your vehicle, within the local area.

Gearboxes & Clutches
